What DenBuddy does

Every part of DenBuddy, and the job it does for your den

DenBuddy has six parts: gap analysis that shows what each Scout still needs, a planner that turns those gaps into Tuesday's agenda, a Scoutbook Plus import that reads always and writes only when you press Send, parent check-in by link or QR code, an optional AI assistant called Akela, and a library of den meeting plans other leaders have shared.

Free for one den, forever. Nothing goes back to Scoutbook until a pack admin turns it on and you press Send.

The six parts

Each one exists because a den leader kept doing it by hand on a Sunday night.

Turn Tuesday at 6:30 into a run-ready agenda

Den meeting planner

Build the agenda from the requirements your Scouts still need, with block times, materials and a coverage meter that tells a full meeting from a busy one.

How den meeting planner works

Your roster and advancement, without retyping any of it

Scoutbook Plus import

The DenBuddy Sync extension reads your den from Scoutbook Plus in your own browser session and brings it into DenBuddy. Reads always; writes only when you press Send.

How scoutbook plus import works

How the parts fit together

One loop, and the last step feeds the first

Nothing here is a separate app to keep up to date. What the Scouts still need decides the meeting, and what happens at the meeting decides what they still need.

  1. Connect Scoutbook Plus

The DenBuddy Sync extension reads your den from the Scoutbook Plus session you are already signed in to. No retyping, and no write-back.

  2. See the gaps

Every Scout against every requirement, with Bobcat first, so you know what the year actually has to cover.

  3. Plan the meeting

Drop the adventures most of the den still needs onto the timeline and watch the coverage meter. Ask Akela for a draft if the blank page is the hard part.

  4. Run it

Publish, put the QR code on the door, and work down the agenda from your phone while parents check their Scouts in.

  5. Record it

Everyone who attended starts pre-checked. Uncheck what did not happen, then export a CSV in Scoutbook's column order and upload it.

  6. Share it

Publish the plan that worked, scrubbed of names, dens and dates, and fork one from another leader when your week gets away from you.

Reads always. Writes only when you press Send.

Data comes in through the browser extension, and goes back only after you have read the exact rows and pressed Send — or as a CSV you upload yourself. Scouts have no accounts, nobody can message a Scout, and a den leader sees their own den.

Depending on which job you got handed

For Cubmasters

Six dens, and two of them are quietly not advancing anybody.

For parents

Check in with one tap, follow your own Scout, no youth accounts.

Start with your own den

Import your den from Scoutbook Plus, see what each Scout still needs, and plan a meeting around it. One den is free forever.

Free for one den. No credit card. Works with Scoutbook Plus.
