Borrow a den meeting that already worked

Community plan library

The community library is where den leaders publish meetings that worked. Filter by rank, tag, setting and length, read the whole agenda before you commit, and fork it so its blocks drop straight into one of your own meetings with credit back to the leader who wrote it.

Free for one den, forever. Reads always; writes only when you press Send.

A plan in the community library. What you get is the agenda and the materials list, never another den's Scouts.

Find a plan the way you would ask a friend

Sort by trending, top, newest, curated, most discussed or proven, and filter by rank, by tags, by indoor or outdoor, and by how long the meeting runs. Rank dots carry the rank color, so a Wolf plan looks like a Wolf plan at a glance.

Fork it into your own meeting

Forking copies the blocks into a meeting of yours, where they become ordinary editable blocks: change the timings, swap the game, cut the part that needs four adults. The original stays credited, and your version is yours.

Sharing is scrubbed before it is published

You cannot publish a plan with your Scouts in it. Before anything is shared, DenBuddy strips Scout names, your den and the dates, then shows you what it removed so you can confirm. That review is a gate you pass, not a checkbox you tick.

  • Scout first names and last names are removed from every block and note.
  • Your den and pack identity are not attached to the plan.
  • Dates become relative, so a plan is about the adventure, not your calendar.

Discussion, voting and moderation

Plans can be voted up or down and discussed in threaded comments, which is where the real advice lives: this took ninety minutes, not sixty, or bring twice the string. Reports route to a staff review queue, and curated plans are marked.

The rules this feature works inside

  • DenBuddy reads Scoutbook Plus always, and writes back only when you press Send.
  • Scouts have no accounts, and nobody can message a Scout.
  • A den leader sees their own den. A parent sees their own Scout.

Questions leaders ask about this

Is the library free?

Reading and forking plans is included on the free plan. Publishing your own plans is part of the Pack plan.

Could anything about my Scouts end up in a shared plan?

Names, your den and your dates are removed before publishing and you review the result. Nothing is shared automatically, ever.

Can I edit a plan after I fork it?

Yes. Once forked it is a normal meeting of yours, and nothing you change affects the original.

Are the plans checked by anyone?

Leaders vote and comment, staff curate and handle reports, and you are still the adult in the room. Read a plan before you run it.
